Talk:Google Hacks
From The Unofficial Google Wiki
Google has added their SearchWiki, Which features interactive ways to organize search results. Such as being able to 'promote' or move up a result, or even remove a result. However these actions only affect that specific search term. So on to my question/suggestion. Is there any "Google Hacks" to remove/block a site from ever appearing in the results no matter what the search term is? I know there are a handful of Grease monkey scripts and a FF plugin, however since this recent SearchWiki addition all of those scripts/plugins have become "broken". And its strange that they haven't thought of that specifically as a feature. For now I've been using bool terms to remove sites (-site.com) but run into a "maximum of 32 words" issue. So I guess this has a potential second/alternative question. Is there a way to remove the number of words cap? The reason I bring this up is I use the "Index of" search trick for music/video searches. But since the popularity of this "hack" spam/mal/fishing sites have caught on and now feature keywords to gain links form those searches.
