Google Local allows you to search for stores in your area, basically like the yellow pages, except much more simple.

For example, if you typed in "spa" and "new york, ny", you would get a list of all the spas in New York City. You can be as specific as a title just to get directions to a place also. In that way, it also functions like MapQuest.
