Communities are a feature of Google+ centered on a topic. Whereas profiles are meant for natural persons (people) and pages are meant for legal persons (companies), communities are meant for topics, much like forums (and like forums, the topic may be "discussing about a person" or "discussing about a company"). The communities feature was first released on December 6th, 2012.
Useful tips
- It is currently not possible to post to both a Circle and a community (except by creating two posts). The same way, it is not possible to post to two communities at once.
