Gmail for your domain is a new limited beta service by Google that lets you use Gmail for emails on your own domain.
As with regular Gmail, the emails are hosted by Google and users have two gigabytes of storage. An addition to regular Gmail is a control panel for managing user accounts and mailing lists. Google Calendar for your domain is expected to be offered soon.
Companies can apply to be part of the beta test if they complete a form with details of why Gmail would benefit their company. In May, 2006, users of Gmail were offered a place in the beta test, subject to a review of their company's requirements.
The Google blog announced that San José City College were amongst the first to test the new service on February 10, 2006.
The standard Gmail Terms of Use apply to Gmail for your domain, which subjects users to a Gmail sending limit.
