The Chrome Web Store is an online store for web applications for Google Chrome. It was announced at Google I/O 2010 on May 19, 2010 and released on December 6, 2010. This software allows users to install and run paid and free web applications for the Google Chrome web browser.

Applications, browser themes, and extensions in the Web Store are written in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Google Apps Script, and, starting with Chrome 14, can run Google Native Client.
